TextP2P gives teams a central workspace for turning conversations into action.
Managing customer conversations is about more than just sending text messages. Your team needs to know who is responding, what has already been discussed, what needs to happen next, and who is responsible for the conversation.
That’s why we’ve made several major improvements to the TextP2P Inbox.
The new Inbox makes it easier for teams to collaborate, manage customer conversations, assign conversations to teammates, add internal notes, track where messages came from, set follow-up reminders, and even create deals directly from a conversation.
Everything Your Team Needs in One Inbox
The Inbox gives your team a central location for managing customer conversations across your TextP2P account.
An unread message is highlighted so you can quickly see which conversations need attention. Simply click a conversation to open it and respond directly from the Inbox.
Keep Internal Notes on Conversations

One of the new features we’ve added is the ability to add internal notes to a conversation.
Notes are useful when your team needs to leave information for another teammate without sending that information to the customer.
For example, you might add a note such as:
- Customer requested a callback.
- Follow up after the appointment.
- Customer is interested in the premium package.
- Waiting for pricing approval.
You can edit or delete notes at any time.
And when you’re working with multiple teammates, the Inbox shows who added the note, making it easier to keep track of internal communication.
See Which Team Member Sent a Message
Team collaboration becomes much easier when you know who is communicating with a customer.
When multiple users are working from the same TextP2P account, the Inbox can show which teammate sent a message.
This gives your team visibility into the conversation and helps prevent multiple team members from responding to the same customer without knowing what someone else has already done.
It’s especially useful for sales teams, customer service departments, appointment-based businesses, and organizations where several people may interact with the same customer.
Use Merge Tags in Your Messages
We’ve also made personalized messaging easier with merge tags.
Instead of manually typing information into every message, you can select available merge tags directly from the message composer.
This allows you to personalize messages with information from the contact record while saving your team time.
For example, instead of sending:
Hi, this is a TextP2P.
You can use a merge tag to automatically insert the customer’s name and create a more personalized message.
Hi [FIRSTNAME], this is TextP2P.
The Inbox continues to support the other tools your team already uses, including message templates, attachments, calendars, and other messaging options.
Know Where Your Messages Came From

Another useful addition is the new message-source indicators.
Small icons on messages can help you identify how a message was originally sent.
- Direct messages can be identified as messages sent directly from the Inbox.
- Campaign messages display an indicator showing that the message came from a list or bulk campaign.
- Workflow messages display an indicator showing that the message was generated by an automated workflow.
This gives your team more context when looking through a conversation.
If a customer responds to an automated campaign or workflow, your team can immediately see where the original message came from.
Assign Conversations to Your Teammates

One of the biggest improvements for teams is the ability to assign conversations to specific teammates.
If you have multiple users working in your TextP2P account, you can assign a conversation to the person responsible for handling it.
For example:
- A sales lead can be assigned to a salesperson.
- A customer service question can be assigned to a support representative.
- An appointment request can be assigned to the appropriate team member.
- A follow-up can be assigned to the person responsible for closing the opportunity.
This helps eliminate the question, “Who’s handling this customer?”
Filter Your Inbox by Teammate

Once conversations are assigned, team members can use Inbox filters to see the conversations they need to work on.
For example, Amanda can log into the account and filter the Inbox to show:
- Conversations assigned to Amanda
- Unassigned conversations
- Other available Inbox views
The selected filter remains active during the session, making it easier for each team member to focus on the conversations that are relevant to them.
A team member can also assign an unassigned conversation to themselves or assign it to another teammate.
Organize Conversations with Folders
TextP2P also gives you tools for organizing conversations into folders.
You can move conversations into folders to help keep your Inbox organized and make it easier to manage different types of customer interactions.
You can also switch between different Inbox views, including:
- All
- Unread
- Starred
- Sent
You can also mark messages as read, star important conversations, manage folders, and export conversations when needed.
Quick Actions from the Inbox
We’ve added quick-action toolbar action icons.

Depending on what you need to do, you can quickly:
- Send a Ringless Voicemail
- Send an email
- Create an alert or reminder
- Create a deal
- Open the customer’s contact record
This means your team doesn’t have to jump between multiple parts of the platform just to handle a customer conversation.
Create a Deal Directly from a Conversation
One of the most powerful additions is the ability to create a deal directly from the Inbox.
Let’s say you’re texting with a potential customer and they indicate that they’re ready to move forward.
Instead of leaving the conversation and navigating somewhere else, you can use the quick Deal button to create an opportunity in your CRM deal pipeline.
That conversation can become the starting point for managing the entire sales opportunity.
Conversation → Deal → Pipeline → Follow-up → Close
This is one of the ways TextP2P is becoming more than a messaging platform. Your conversations can now connect directly to the CRM and sales process.
Access the Customer’s Complete Contact Record
Clicking the customer’s name takes you directly to their contact record.
From there, your team can access important information such as:
- Company
- Phone number
- Email address
- Tags
- Other contact information
This gives your team the information they need while they’re communicating with the customer.
Manage Text and Email Subscriptions

The Inbox also gives you quick access to your customer’s communication preferences.
If someone replies with the word STOP, TextP2P automatically processes the opt-out for text messaging.
If a customer communicates an opt-out request in another way, such as “stop texting me,” you can manually unsubscribe the contact using the unsubscribe controls in the Inbox.
You can also manage email unsubscribes separately.
This makes it easy for your team to manage communication preferences directly while working with the customer.
Block Unwanted Messages
If a contact is sending spam or other unwanted messages, you can also block the contact directly from the Inbox.
Once blocked, the contact will no longer be able to send messages to your TextP2P account, and the contact will also be unsubscribed.
Set Alerts and Follow-Up Reminders
Another useful feature is the ability to create an alert or reminder directly from a conversation.
For example, you might be talking with a prospect who isn’t ready to make a decision today.
Instead of relying on your memory, create an alert to follow up at a specific date and time.
When the alert appears, your team can mark it as completed once the follow-up has been handled.
This turns the Inbox into more than a place to read and send messages. It becomes a tool for managing the next step in the customer relationship.

Today, TextP2P brings together text messaging, email, Ringless Voicemail, CRM tools, deal pipelines, automations, workflows, and team collaboration in one platform.
The new Inbox is an important part of that system because it gives your team a central place to manage the conversations that drive your business.
